Interior is all done, final-freaking-ly! It came out really nice, well, to us at least

Here are some pictures from after the install. I actually put the driver's seat, roll bar, parking brake, steering wheel, and a few more things last night but do not have pictures of those yet (besides iPhone pics).

Looks awesome! Can't wait to see a picture of the cockpit with the seats installed. Nice color choice.

Most of the Kirkham midels have the battery installed this way nowdays. The "tray" and hold down are very nice pieces.

I got it going again this afternoon! What a noise. I hope now that with my extra grounding straps, fuse box, and all the little tweaks I have done, that I won't fry anymore boxes...
I got to fix a little fuel leak at one of the injectors now, always something

Love the interior. The leather used to break up the carpet is a neat touch.

Wow, that is really looking sharp!

Unfortunately, that color interior is screaming for a BRG paint scheme. Yes or are you keeping the brushed finish?

Here are some crappy pics of the interior. I have been trying to chase down a problem with the EFI, and it has been taking a lot of time (relatively). I'm getting a "MAP ERROR" message from the EFI system. I tried to troubleshoot it as much as I can but haven't found the solution so far (I'm hoping it will be just having to change a $50 sensor and nothing more...).

I have not put the passenger seat in yet because it is a whole lot easier to work under the dash without the seat in.

I actually took it out (rolled it out) of the garage this weekend, for the first time since it arrived here. It was awesome to see it shine outside

Since these pictures, the doors are on.

Maiden voyage accomplished!! I took it out today for the first time. It was pretty surreal driving the car after spending all this time crawling over it. It was a beautiful day here, and all it took was to swap out the MAP sensor. I'm still having some problems down low, runs very rough, but I found out that the system thinks it is at 94% load, all the time. That comes from the vacuum. So hopefully I can fix that soon/easily. It runs well at higher rpms.

I had the pleasure of having the cops show up at my place about 30 mins after my drive. A lovely neighbor tracked me down, and then called the cops to say I was driving "very fast and recklessly through the neighborhood"... The village cops came and they were very cool, no worries at all. I freaking hate spineless people who, instead of coming to see you, just call the cops. You can see in the vids I was going slow. I hit it once towards the end, but it was very short. The loudness of the car doesn't help either

AWESOME.... I don't think your speedometer is hooked up, I bet you could have used that as your excuse for driving fast in the neighborhood, soooo cooool, good job, great looking and sounding car.

Thanks Pete. I'm not sure why the speedo doesn't work...

I just found the MAP vacuum line not hooked to the MAP sensor.. haha. That will explain my rough running down low! I need to take another ride now

Hey "Frenchy",

Very well done! Congrats, & hopefully its only a matter of a couple of tweaks before you have all the EFI bugs ironed out.

I had a poke around on youtube & watched a few other AVM production video clips...
So with that in mind I'm looking forward to the next few installments of 647 on the road

Funny story is I grew up running around on motocross bikes as a kid.
Some of my favourite memories ever, include trying to teach my mum how to launch off the line without killing herself when I was about 9yrs old. Funny story, she kept freaking out every time the clutch would bite & just kept crushing my bike into the bushes... I obviously wasn't a good teacher.

The Triumphs in the clip is not a half bad ride either, mine's a CBR rr & a blast to ride

Arnaud, The best part of that video is that big ol' grin you can see in the rear view mirror! Congrats, man! A big milestone for sure.

The lack of MAP vacuum plus the associated vacuum leak is exactly why your engine sounds so rough. I'll bet it purrs like a kitten and then growls like a tiger now.
