I just say no, I built it, but thanks for the compliment. Simple, honest and concise.

Exactly. And flash a huge smile as you drive away knowing how much fun the ride will be.

Had csx4163 for some time and have Bennett cobra ,also for some time. Years ago did not see seperation that is seen today. Would go to car shows and Shelby events and every one had fun. I enjoyed being around guys that built their own cars as much as possible because of thier enthusiasm. Attended SAAC 38 Fontana ca. Won trophy with csx car and when my name was called to receive trophy announcer said first place for csx4000 or whatever they are called now winner is. First time seeing hostility out in open from that group. Last time went to car show graffiti weekend in Modesto had a group of
cobra owners come over to look at csx car and one yelled out real loud nice kit. I will try to be curteous to everyone and continue to enjoy my car. Did have good time at Pomona 50 year Cobra reunion. Have had conversations with many guys that have original cobras and wonderful group. Have had many conversations with cobra guys and as soon as they see your not going to start with my car is better than your car had great time talking. Small community would be best to get along I would think. FWIW

Ice cream comes in a zillion flavours and nobody asks "Is it real?" when they see someone eating a vanilla cone.

We should be able to respect the different flavours and just get along.

Note: Like many, I assumed vanilla is the original flavour, but according to this article it's highly likely the first flavourings used were cherries, raspberries, currants, or strawberries. Huh. I learned something today.

... and if asked which ice cream to choose, he would likely say Any Colour You Like. ;)

Flavour is spelled that way in U.K., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand - perhaps other countries as well. Other spellings 'foreign' to Americans:
  • centre
  • colour
  • metre
  • cheque
  • favour
  • theatre
  • catalogue

Even though Canadian spelling of these words aligns with British spelling, there are also examples where Canadian spelling differs from British
spelling, in words such as realize and recognize, which in British English are spelled realise and recognise; i.e. usually spelled with -ize rather than -ise.

OK, I give up. What's the connection with David Gilmour and icecream advice?

The vast majority of us get along together just fine, It's just the ones that make silly comments that really get under the skin of some. We should just be able to let those comments go to get along with the rest of the vast majority of us!

GilmOUr. Any ColOUr You Like is a song on Pink Floyd's Dark Side of The Moon.

p.s. I saw Pink Floyd live in a local concert theatre with so-called 'world class' acoustics (~2,000 seats) when they were touring to promote Dark Side of The Moon. Quite the experience. I think you had to be stoned to fully appreciate it.

Try and think of another artist, with song writing credit to a track, both of which have "ou" in the names via the Queen's English. ;) IOW, Lou Reed singing Vicious doesn't count.
