I called up Keith Craft today to order a cam and some other goodies and was told that custom cams are the exclusive domain of Keith himself and that he was in Utah until Monday. Hmmmmm, where could he be? Hope you guys are having fun and not killing too many brain cells!

This year is obviously out for me but I'm hoping
to make it next year - when it isn't snowing!

i AM HOME SAFE AND SOUND.

The open house was great as expected from the greatest car makers in the world. I left yesterday at 3PM (CA Time) and was home littel before 2AM. It snowed on me for 30 min outside of Provo The sun poped out and I put the hammer down. Stars and dry roads the whole way I think I was lucky- and I took advantage.
Yes, I was colder then Nancy Pelocie"s you know what. I had my heated vest on and well coverd and was not real bad. Oil guage never moved and the water was riding just alittle above 65- that cold. It was a great trip.
Thanks again to the Kirkhams for such a great car and having such a nice function. They cleaned up my car beautifully even sanded all the grime off. THanks again. And it is alway nice to see and meet the guys we chat with on the internet. Keep up the faith Ron.

Many thanks to the Kirkham family for another great event.

As always, great people, great food, and great auto/engineering candy.

Thanks to all who came! It was a lot of fun this year again.

Bill, I didn't get a chance to see, but did my guys take that ding out of your fender? I hope so. You the man for driving that far! I have made a very similar drive on many occasions. That is what life is all about--making memories.

David

Thanks to the whole Kirkham family for another great event.

This best thing about this open house is the openness and accessibility to everything. You get the chance to go one on one with Tom or David or anyone in the shop to discuss details and technical issues...you can see every aspect of their shop and how things are done.

Here are few more pictures from around the shop..

What better way to examine a car than "on the spit"...

One car that you couldn't take your eyes off was this one... a polished Kirkham with a polished Cammer... not much wiggle room under the hood.

Rework time is available if you are lucky enough to bring your car.

Here's one customer who had an untimely meeting with a curb-cut and did a number on his oil cooler scoop. Sandwich assessed the damage and, rather than try and bang it out, decided to just replace the whole section.

Here's the damaged panel..

Watching the art of welding aluminum firsthand...

The finished panel, good as new... some filing and sanding will make the rework undetectable.

Lunchtime...good food and good table talk.

David K. gave a presentation on the one-off billet-chassis car that was chronicled here on ClubCobra... Keith Craft told us some (but not all ) of the secrets of building reliable hi-HP engines... Bill S. told us about his journey to Utah.

At the Open House, you get to see the secret projects of the KMP Skunkworks.

Frank was lucky enough to step up and buy the first production unit of this top-secret project...

The Kirkham Billet Aluminum Skateboard

I made sure it was assigned a KMP number before he left...

He promised to post a Youtube clip of his first ride.
