In general, the more money you spend, the more healthcare you get. There are lot more treatments available today than there were 40 years ago. There are a lot more medications available today than there were 40 years ago. Basically, there are a lot more options available today than there were 40 years ago.

Secondly, there are lot more elderly and sicker people today than there were 40 years ago, requiring more extensive medical care.

Those are the Fundamental reasons healthcare costs more today.

Next time you or your kid(s) is sick, just only request penicillin, no other antibiotics. You'll keep your cost down. You may not get better as fast, or at all, but I'll guarantee you it will be alot cheaper, maybe 95% less. You treat your kid that way, and I'll pick which ever antibiotic, of the hundreds available, that may work the best for my child.

In a nutshell, we currently rely on the advice of our doctors to guide our decision making when it comes to our illnesses, that is which treatments, tests, drugs, etc that may be able to benefit us in some way.

I say if your parent or child is serious ill, let them die peacefully. I'll do whatever is necessary, whatever is available, for whatever medical path we wish to follow, whatever extraordinary measures may be beneficial, even the slightest chance.

The crowd was jumping up and down as he stunned the Chevrolet drivers by easily passing the entire field to finish second behind MacDonald's other team Cobra. The Corvette people were completely demoralized."
