I agree. I think he will push even harder to get as much of his agenda passed as possible. It will be interesting to see which Dems decide not to walk the plank for him though...

Ummm...duh...I thought I already made that point?
Interestingly enough, a handful of Dems have actually said that maybe they need to re-evaluate what they are doing. So maybe the Dems (well, some of them anyway) are capable of learning from their mistakes. The Repubs sure didn't. The Dems have a few months to turn this thing around before a bigger slaughter, but I am already pretty sure that the next MA Gov will be either GOP or Independent regardless of any turnaround that might happen.

I doubt the Democrats [or the Republicans either] will realize that the Dems never had a "mandate" Obummer got 60% of the vote, half that was black solidarity. Understandable and to be expected in the first real try at a black President. The other half of his vote was a vote AGAINST Government as usual. The nation was fed up with Congress and showed it in the Presidential election. Remember as low as Bush's ratings were, Congress was way way lower.
Not a mandate for social change, a cry for Government SANITY!
In that national mood, obummer said the exact right things in his campaign. Change, not his change, just change is what we wanted.. What we got was a cloud headed academic with no practical experience at anything let alone a chief executive. Both inexperienced and ego driven he not only made many mistakes but he has never become PRESIDENT. He is still campaigning to be president instead of BEING President. He blames everything on problems he "inherited" WELL DUH, why do you think you got the job? If the other guy was so great, you would not have been elected. Once the election was over he should have rolled up his sleeves and got to work. Instead he becomes a big spending, world traveler and pushes his social justice Socialist agenda, while maintaining the 'campaign' mode.
We wasted a year waiting for change. Its obvious now he has no change planned other than from Democracy to Socialism. Clinton took the hint and moved away from the left. I doubt obummer's monster ego will allow him to do that.

I must have missed that. I am sitting here with the flu trying to pass the time. Maybe my brain is not working right.
BTW, I don't trust the Republicans either, I just trust the Dems less...

Wait a few years and you will be able to insert Latino solidarity in there. One things for sure, the white guy numbers are in decline.

On that we are solidly in agreement. Darn it you are going to ruin our arguments by posting something true.
