Does this forum needs a boost!
Is it me or are the threads on this site becoming mundane?
What happened to all the fresh informative posts? I can only read about Magnesium wheels and Kirkham parts for sale (no offence David), for so long. Let's see some builds, new parts, fabrication and more event coverage......

It seems that some of the posts will gather tons of responses, while others seem to get ignored. I think it all has to do with the subject matter.
I've often wondered how often people check in here. If I could figure out how to do a poll , I would. I know that I have answered a couple of things on here that never got repiles from the original poster.
When I was looking for my Cobra, Ray Humble posted up about selling a Contemporary for a friends wife. I tried to contact him several times and he never replied so ended up with another Contemporary from another guy. I haven't seen him too active since I bought it, so I figure he was just here to ask a few questions, put the car up for sale and bail out.
So, it seems that when something of interest pops up , everybody runs with it.

Darren, aren't you the person who's building a new Kirkham with a fully polished Cammer in it? Uh, that could make a good thread.

Snuggly Wuggly
See? Here she is all snuggled away for the winter. Just like a bug in a rug, with visions of sugar plums dancing in her head.

We could always start a tread about "REAL" vs Replica. That always seems to get lots of responses. Or maybe two roll bars vs one or none. Or how about the merits of Carol's business model. Be careful what you are wishing for, sometimes mundane is OK

If Michael Jackson were still alive, he might have shown an interest. But in his absence all the rest of us can only point and laugh rudely.

I guess blowing hot air into the bag, a resource that you have an abundance of, wouldn't work so well.

Well, we could debate the merits of big blocks vs. small blocks for a couple months...

You don't want to open that can of worms. I asked an innocent question on quick jacks and got my azz handed back to me.
Nice people here.

Patrick, maybe some "flames" or "stickers" on your special bag would inspire many others to get a baggie too. Is it sort of a zip lock affair?
Actually I enjoyed talkin politics on the Lounge..it was alway interesing and fun, but too many folks took it way to serious and would say nasty things.
It's all fun and at times very helpful ... this cobra site.

No, Bill. It has a real, heavy-duty zipper. You unzip the bag, drive the car on to it, let it cool, and then zip it up. But before I put it away for the winter I always give it a kiss on each roll bar and then play "this LED went to market, this LED stayed home" with each of the LED brake/running lights that I carefully fabbed for it this summer. It then squeals with delight, kicks its tires a bit, and goes to sleep.
