Kristen,

I do drink water when I am out working in the sun. Almost by the gallon. But I spent a week in the hospital years ago with a severe heat stroke and my doctor tells me that each one makes it easier to have another. Not being a doctor, I have to take his word for it and it sure seems to be so. My nerves are so bad I don't notice that I am starting to lose it until any times I am actually having to lay on the ground to keep from falling. I tell you OLD AGE is NOT the GOLDEN years. I think I passed mine about 45 years ago. The only way I know if all of my parts are working is if they are hurting. :)

Ron

trularin 02-26-2005 10:50 AM

I'll second that knowing the parts are working by how much they hurt.:LOL:

Ron61 02-27-2005 04:47 AM

Tru,

Yea but they didn't refuse your donor donation card because of worn out and un-usable parts.

Ron

trularin 02-27-2005 08:20 AM

I can't donate any parts, I wore them all out.:LOL::LOL:

Lousy day here, been rainin all day, but I'm only complainin a wee little bit cause it still ain't no where as bad as the poor folks in CA. are havin to deal with. Thinkin about venturing outside here shortly and try and do sumpthin, even if it ain't right!!!!!!!!!

hey,littlecobra 02-27-2005 12:26 PM

the last four posts are from old dudes (JUST KIDDING!!!)

cold and cloudy. not quite raining..... yuck. too cold to wash the car, but I can start detailing the engine, even in the garage. oh, and maybe start on relettering the tires.....
the hoodlums want the computer!!!!

uncltodd 02-27-2005 03:02 PM

Kristen- I am the Old Guy, not the Old Dude, at least locally.

I would give all I have, and all I could borrow, to have a couple of Hoodlums.

I'm sure they would destroy my house while I spoiled them rotten.

Dreams for the future change as you... mature.

I'm helping five kids in college now, left voice mails with all of them yesterday. "Please touch base with the Old Guy?".

Wish in one hand and urinate in the other and see which hand fills up first.

I will never, ever, give up on the Next Generation.

The bloodsucking, inconsiderate, spoiled, underachieving little chowderheads.

How's Pepe?

hey,littlecobra 02-27-2005 03:36 PM

Pepe's good. how's gunrack? Guess he's in primer, getting ready for finish. Will you go to Tulsa/Hallett in June? We'll pass by on our way up!! Sorry again I missed your post about your dyno. I'll get it at some point.

Ron61 02-28-2005 04:33 AM

I can't be listed in the OLD GUY category any more. I have now passed into the ANCIENT category. To refer to me you may use THE ANCIENT. With Reverence Please. :D

Ron :o

LwCwb 02-28-2005 04:53 AM

What about OAR, Old Ancient Ron?

LwCwb 02-28-2005 05:01 AM

Or HAR, Hairless Ancient Ron.

Ron61 02-28-2005 05:03 AM

NO, NO, NO! The Ancient was a form of Reverance among many older Civilizations. It denoted Wisdom, and Intelligence, mostly because the person had lived that long. In my case the first two don't appply, but the third one definately does. I will be considering my 3rd body transfer if I can get one of the coveted 250 numbers in this state next year. :D

Ron  **)

Mikie, shme on you, respect your elders, now, Go to your room, and "NOT" with Miss KK...............................

HI Cobra 02-28-2005 05:38 AM

Aloha all,

Thought I'd see where this thread has been headed lately and
figured I'd chime in. Here the weather, as usual, has been pretty
good. Of course it shoulbe, it is Hawaii. My problem is that I can't
drive the Cobra for a couple of more months, maybe less, if all continues to
go well. I finally bit the bullet 3 weeks ago and got myself a 2005 model
titanium, cobalt, chrome left knee joint. At this point I too will say that
getting older sucks but it does beat the alternative. Been stuck in the house
except to go to pt twice a week. What fun! Looking forward to flying and
going through the check points with my cards explaining the metal and the
radiation from my cancer treatment. So far I think I beat that one too.
On the good side, this should complete the "let's rebuild Flip project"
so I will be good to go again after this knee heals up. Gee, if I'd knowed
I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself!
Think I've heard that one before.

Cheer up all - spring is getting closer!
Have a great day!

trularin 02-28-2005 05:50 AM

Gee whiz Flip, we were all in a state of unity until you chimed in. Good weather and pleasent happening ( other than the radiation ), gEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Good to hear from you, Hope you are feeling better.

People ask me how old I am, I ask "How old is dirt?"

:3DSMILE:

Ron61 02-28-2005 05:58 AM

Darn Flip,

Now you have destroyed my vision of living in Hawaii. I thought that people there never got old due to the great weather and all the pretty women. Hope that everything goes well and you recover quickly from the knee work.
Explaining the metal and radiation should be quite interesting. They will swear that you have a small tactical Nuke in your knee. May have to dissaemble it to prove them wrong.
Take care and get back to your normal life soon. Best wishes.

Ron :)

hey,littlecobra 02-28-2005 06:54 AM

Wow, Flip! Sounds like a "kirkham" quality knee rebuild. Titanium, cobalt..... :D glad you're doing better. Can't you get somebody to rig up the cobra to be automatic for a few months? then you could enjoy your car.... I love hawaii. Once you get out of the humongously overcrowded cities, it's awesome. Haven't been in awhile. I've been told we have a little hut over there somewhere. Hubby and his brother bought it a couple of years ago, sight unseen!! It's the gilligan's island version.... no water/electricity. there seems to be a water collection barrel somewhere, and a 'twoseater' outhouse..... maybe a generator? I'm not sure.... I've seen pictures, and my mother in law spent a night there last August, during a huge storm. Needless to say, they got a bit wet... I'll take a good hotel anyday....
anyway, glad everybody is doing well.
Tru. are you better? how's the hockey?
#2 son's basketball tournament is this week. I'll keep ya'll posted. Baseball/softball are starting up.

Didn't touch Pepe all weekend. :( too cold! my intention was to start detailing. darn.
Kristen

Ron61 02-28-2005 08:32 AM

Ok already,

Enough of the complaining by you young kids. You must be at least 70 years old to complain in this thread about your health. :D

By the way, it has rained lightly here the past two days, but it is actually quite warm. :)

Ron %/

hey,littlecobra 02-28-2005 08:47 AM

that eliminates you, too. old dude. er, I mean, ancient dude.:D
