In the States from the 16th of June

trularin

I head over on the 16th to LAX and then down to Phoenix, AZ to catch up with Hershal there. Then to London, Ohio..:3DSMILE:

I'm expecting Wayne (wtcobra's) son over on the 2nd of June. We will do some touring around Adelaide, Melbourne and the Sydney area for two weeks prior to me leaving for the States...**)

I spent some time with Wayne at the 'Run N Gun' and his son Mark was keen to get across to Australia.

So once again very little work being done here..

Cheers

Bernie

Whew this was a busy morning.

The kids last day of school was today. They played all morning and had awards. (2nd and 5th graders)( now 3rd and 6th) Thew had a play time outside. I was incharge of getting them all wet. Boy was that fun. I soaked every single one of them and some of the teachers and parents as well. Really fun morning.

We leave for Yellowstone on Monday.

I am taking notes here. we are on page 222, 3325 replies. 29827 views (wow) on Friday 5-20-05.
That way I can catch up when we return.

I'll check in before we leave though.

Mike:
I have built over 452 homes, if you need something & post some pictures.

Kristen:

Steve, your thinking San Diego not the desert. Low 73 high 104 today and up to 112 by Sunday. Not so great driving weather at mid afternoon. Evenings are still great though.

4RE KLR 05-20-2005 10:34 AM

Thats hot. See it IS better in Texas.

Its about 78* here outside now. Nice comfortable breeze.

:)

I would rather drive in the cold than the heat anytime. Love Wisconsin this time of year. Drove up in the mountains up to Julian one year and there was still snow on the ground. Had a sweatshirt and light jacket and was the first time I ever wore driving gloves.

Mike:

You know my wife and I talked about that. The one we had was a beautiful car. We spent three years building it just the way we wanted it. When we were done it was a really nice car. It was featured on the cover of Kit Car Magazine in November of 2001.

We waited, to build it like we wanted. When we were done we won almost every show we put it in, in fact every show except the Yellow Rose show here in Fort Worth.

The only reason we sold it was while it was at a show a man wanted it much worse than we did. If I had it to do over again I would not have sold the car at all. Simply put it meant more to us than we thought.

We thought about getting an SPF to hold us over, and James Baldwin had a very nice one and the price was right. That was a very nice car. It was not the same quality as the one we built but it was a very nice car. We decided to wait.

We set our eyes on a Kirkham. I know the engine I want to put in it, a 427 SOHC Cammer with Webbers. No paint, except the frame. I would like to lay out some flames in the aluminum that are as ghost flames are on a painted car. It will have a rondel and the two stripes under the flames.

If we get a in between car it will simply add to the time it will take us to get the one we want.:(

hey,littlecobra 05-21-2005 07:46 AM

a picture of the tires/wheels off the car

well, they're still off, and will be for a while. Too much to do this weekend to get started scraping off the lettering on the new tires. Will take a pic of the new tires :) when I get the chance.

Well I tried to post a picture but when I resize it it is blurry.

hey,littlecobra 05-21-2005 07:59 AM

don't resize it, just put it in your gallery, and upload from there.
Works for me.
I can't ever post to a thread. all too big. I've resized a couple to put in a thread, but too much work!!! It takes me too long to figure out how to do it. That's why my gallery is so big. Can't post directly from my computer to the thread. I bet 10 people do it 10 different ways.
gotta go!
