Goooooooooodddddd morning CC.

I am going to try to avoid the weather. Sucks that it does.

So what word have we on UT's charge??

bomelia, it is not nice to mess with the CG.

Ron... YO, Ron. Hey, so does the weed wacker, wack??? My wife and I were wondering why you didn't get an electric one?

So, is this for trimming around the alien space craft you have landed in your back yard?

I checked with DMV and For some frikin reason, I have to put windshield squirters on my car... WHAT IS UP WITH THAT???

Never a dull moment here at the CC.

I made res. at the hotel in Columbus. I am going with my younger son.

Tru,

I have had an electric weed eater for years and it is great. The problem is that to get to some of the places I need to, I have to unroll and string out 200' of electric cord and that is to do about 20 minutes of weed whacking. Crap, it takes me 35 minutes to get the electric cord unrolled from it's rollers and then rolled back up and put away. I use it all the time in the yards where just one of the 100' cords reaches everything and it is a good one. I use it to cut back rose buushes that are about the thickness of my little finger. One other problem right now too, is the electric motor out on the end is very hard on my torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder. This gas powered one has the small engine on the back side and I can use it without any pull on that shoulder.
I haven't heard any more from UT and didn't want to bother him with an e-mail as he is going through so much right now.
What is with the windshieldwiper squirters on your Cobra. We don't have to have them and some of the cars they have passed out here don't even have a place for wipers to be installed. But like everything here, that varies from one inspector to the next. Two guys went to the same inspection station and one had to have wipers and a back up light and the other didn't. They got two different inspectors. Columbus sounds nice. I was there many years ago working on the ESS computers. :)

Ron   6AM and already 56 degrees. :JEKYLHYDE

hey,littlecobra 03-05-2005 07:08 AM

alrighty Mike. Sorry..... Mother bear gets a little protective of her cubs now and then.... even if a cub is 20+ years older!!! ;)
(and I do think you've been a little cranky)

looks crappy outside. Cobra meet today. Not even 50* yet. probably take the big yukon thing. sitting in jammies, gotta get moving.... farmed the girls out yesterday; boys +2 more are sleeping somewhere..... Well, well, well.... their room is right above the garage. might just have to take Pepe afterall.... :D

#2 son's basketball team lost in the 2nd round of playoffs. (6th grade rec. ball) all very sad and mad. On to baseball for him. #1 son has soccer... have a great day, and we'll check ya later!

k
ps. looking at my calendar for June, and every weekend is booked. Wow! Friends we stayed with last summer in England are coming, then to Tulsa, then to San Antonio, then to Columbus(?), then July, and off to Colorado?

LwCwb 03-05-2005 07:13 AM

Kristen, PLEASE take the Cobra, it was made to be driven. Just think of us sittin at home when it is 30* out without a Cobra.:(

OK, 30* weather isn't TOO bad.

Ron61 03-05-2005 07:16 AM

Mike,

30+ may sound hot to you, probably does, but believe me a long drive in that temperature even bundled up can be uncomfortable and especially if it is overcast and any chance of showers. Since Kristen is going to be gone all summer, I wonder if she would let us use her house and Pepe for our summer vacation? :D :D :D

Ron  **)

LwCwb 03-05-2005 07:23 AM

Actually it is starting to ease itself up to 40 now.:D

Ron61 03-05-2005 07:37 AM

Ok, now that you have said that it should start back down immediately. Maybe low to mid 20s by afternoon. %/

Ron :p

LwCwb 03-05-2005 08:28 AM

I think it had an opposite effect for once, its starting to get warmer!:D :D :D

hey,littlecobra 03-05-2005 01:18 PM

well, now. wasn't that fun!!! Beautiful 56*, no wind, threat of rain, but no precipitation! 12 Cobra's, and that really cool looking original 427(street). Sat by the owner (Winkleman) at lunch, and chastized him for not selling me his 289 last month!!! (no, not the hlc car, don't I wish....) For a few days he owned both the 289 and the 427. He said it was a really unique experience to park them side by side and really make comparisions.... The 427 needs some tlc. Very nice, tho', and just fun to stand next to and photograph an original. I'll post photos after my nap. That big ol burger and I'm sleepy!!
bye bye. ;) thanks for convincing me to go, Mike!!!

trularin 03-05-2005 01:46 PM

It's like a Timex.

Ron61 03-05-2005 02:02 PM

Kristen,

For crying out loud. You aren't old enough to need a nap before posting the pictures. That is for us old people. :)

Ron  :JEKYLHYDE

trularin 03-05-2005 03:36 PM

Maybe she's tryin to catch up with us, Ron.

WOOOW, What happened to the cars????

Where is the 69 Torino?? Cobra??

%/

LwCwb 03-05-2005 03:39 PM

Ron- I was wondering the same.

Kristen- No problem.;)

hey,littlecobra 03-05-2005 04:50 PM

They are still there. but.... he is getting used to the look of the avatar with nothing there.... I believe they are going to go visit relatives in Arkansas for the summer???

Ron, I believe, is going in a different direction. He is selling his land vehicles, so he can concentrate on the space module sitting there in his yard!!! :p With a little R/D, he might get it flying to Mars by the next millenium.... :D

too old to need a nap?? Don't think so!!
tru, are you referring to the original 427 as like a Timex?

LwCwb 03-05-2005 04:56 PM

Kristen, you mean Planet X, or in Ron's language "dksghuisrygurh gvkjdfhger ghferbghjerghkerghiw erfyiwhgjkefnbv vdbjkdfguieryg3515 75486747547877846."

hey,littlecobra 03-05-2005 05:21 PM

here is the engine view of Winkleman's "new" original 427. Street version.

Sitting here at the Beachside Precinct Station, bored, tired and I was hungry till I just scarfed down that pizza......... Bikers are in town full force, I got writers cramp from all the tickets I wrote today and i could have written 3 times more......Just got the eye from the Lt., he said I needed to "write" more.........I kindly reminded him that I was retired and doing this part time, and "I DON'T WRITE CHICKEN S _ _ T TICKETS". If he wants more tickets find a rookie to talk too!!!!!!!!! All the tickets I wrote today were singles for two or more violations....they know they diserved them in other words!!!!!  Tomorrows the wifeys birthday and again I have to work...good thing she understands, BD always comes during Bike Week, What a pain.....in 25 years of marriage I think we have celebrated her BD 1 or 2 times on the actual day.....oh well, enough rambling...these 15 to 17 hour days are a "Royal Pain"......  all the way to the bank!

LwCwb 03-05-2005 06:51 PM

Kristen, thats one of my favorite shots of a Cobra.:) Have any of the exterior?

hey,littlecobra 03-05-2005 06:57 PM

Yes, I know, Mike, up close and personal of the engine! Funny, tho', I have no pics of my engine..... In fact, when I first got the car, I mailed photos to my brother in Seattle. He loved all the outside shots, but said, 'hey, where's one of the engine?' Guess being a girl and all I hadn't even thought of the engine! Just the pretty outside... anyway, never took any of the engine. Maybe tomorrow, if I'm able to finish tidying it up from the start I got this morning before the meet.
Oh, yes. a couple of photos in the "dallas march meet at Champs" or something like that, and they are also in my gallery, as I haven't taken the time to learn how to post to threads. hmmm. guess I could try here.... nah. gotta go watch 'princess diaries 2' with little cobra girl. We are 'home alone'....
seeya!
