Luckily they were stopped by my virus software. |
My fire-wall stopped access, now I know why.
Are they virus or adware? Ron(CW) can we get the video without the virus?? Are we in trouble? |
Bryan
Have not noticed anything this end. Thanks will keep an eye out. Bernie |
Guys I didn't know anything about those viruses, I won't use that site anymore. Sorry about that, hope I didn't mess anyone's computers up:(
|
I was on my other computer with AOL when I looked at it and it tried to download several ad-ware things to the computer. I took them all out and looked for any viruses and none showed up. Just a buch of ad-ware for me. Fortunately AOL is so slow that I stopped it before it got to far along, so I don't know what else may have been lurking.

Spyware trojans
After last nights virus attack on my computer I ran Spyware Doctor which I usually run once a week and find nothing.
Well it found a whopping 178 spyware trojans. Cheers, Bryan |
yes, heavy on the spyware. didn't 'see' any virus!!!
just have 3 spyware removal programs on my computer. just 3. ugh.... spyware is the worse... virsus catchers work pretty well. the spyware is a drag. |
Well, I just got back from WCCB in Reno and it was a lot of FUN! but I'm beat....1074 miles round trip.
I will try to post some pics in the next couple of days. |

One of the things that has become more evident is the number of so called 'failed emails' that appear in my inbox. I look at the email address and realise that it is not a familiar name or address and in fact I never sent these emails. I just then delete them prior to openning. My computer shop ( read guru) has suggested that if you open the email to see what it's about, then 'whamoooo' your hit with a virus... Most of the emails that I send have my name in the subject and something related to the topic... "Hi from Bernie re the Cobra run" etc. etc. If I don't recognise the name or the subject I just dump them. Bernie |
Bernie,
I was getting some of those e-mails that sho0wed themas me sending them and they were returned, so I contacted my ISP and just had them look into it. Haven't had one in months now. Also look at the ISP address and trace one and see where it originated, unless whoever is doing it has yours. Bryan, I just found 98 spy ware and ad ware Trojans on my other computer and I ran all five programs, so I think I have them all out. No viruses at all. I run a program from Germany called Tune Up Utilitiues that I have had great luck with. It will edit the registry and show you any unusused or suspicious key entries and also scan and list all unused or suspicious files on the disk. also does many other things. Then of course Spy Bot, CW Shredder, Microsoft Malicious Software Detector, and Norton's, which caught three of the spy ware entries. Ron :JEKYLHYDE |
Spysweeper, something like 90,000 different spywares detected.
Good program. |
Hey, Kristen
If you don't get Kit Car you might want to pickup the latest issue when it hits the stands. Good article on "your" favorite, the one you're lusting after, $2.5M Cobra. |
Saw this and thougt of Kristen. :D :D
The Blonde and the Chimps A blonde lady motorist was about two hours from San Diego when she was flagged down by a man whose truck had broken down. The man walked up to the car and asked, "Are you going to San Diego?" "Sure," answered the blonde, "do you need a lift?" "Not for me. I'll be spending the next three hours fixing my truck. My problem is I've got two chimpanzees in the back which have to be taken to the San Diego Zoo. They're a bit stressed already so I don't want to keep them on the road all day. Could you possibly take them to the zoo for me? I'll give you $100 for your trouble. " "I'd be happy to," said the blonde. So the two chimpanzees were ushered into the back seat of the blonde's car and carefully strapped into their seat belts. Off they went. mFive hours later, the truck driver was driving through the heart of San Diego when suddenly he was horrified! There was the blonde walking down the street and holding hands with the two chimps, much to the amusement of a big crowd. With a screech of brakes he pulled off the road and ran over to the blonde. "What the heck are you doing here?", he demanded, "I gave you $100 to take these chimpanzees to the zoo." "Yes, I know you did," said the blonde, "but we had money left over---so now we're going to Sea World!" Ron  :) %/ |
Hot?!?!?!?!?
:LOL::LOL: |
Well I will have to wait for Kristen to comment on that. But with any luck she is busy polishing tires and white letters. I tried some so called tire paint that I got at a place here for lettering the tires and it looked great for about three days and then started cracking. I guess you aren't supposed to drive the car after you paint the letters with this stuff. :( :o
Ron :3DSMILE: |
did I miss something???
blonde, chimps, sea world, stupid girl. what about 'hot'?? I haven't touched the tires. :( end of school tons of stuff. I did roll one into the living room last night, to look at it..... :( K |
Kristen,
Well getting one into the living room is a start. Let us know what you use to clean the letters and then paint them and how they stand up. I have tried about every type of paint the auto stores around here say will work and it all cracks after a short time. I am about ready to paint the darn letters black. Ron :JEKYLHYDE |
Makes you wonder what the MFGs use on "raised white letters" 'cuz they don't crack. I have no clue other than if you scrub them against a high curb, hard, only then does it seem to come off only because you've scrubbed the lettering removing the rubber.
My wife has done this numerous times in various cars in parking lots, Atm's, drive-thrus, etc. always cuts the curve a tad short. Of course I've "never" done that, or any of you either:p |
G.R.
I am to the point that after looking at mine I think they must have the white mixed in the top little bit of rubber. I took an old tire and some paint remover and had to scrub hard to get it off and it looked like I went down just a little on the level of the letter. I wonder if contacting one of the tire companies would help or is that another of their super secrets. I know I won't waste any more time painting them with the various tire lettering paint we get out here. :( Ron  |
Yes Kristen, but everyone is talking about getting white lettering on a tire...I think.
Hope you all have a good holiday. |
