Kristen,
Shasta Lake is 10 miles North of Redding and about a 40 minute drive to the Oregon border, depending on traffic. I live 7 miles from Shasta Dam. If you have a map, just find Sacramento and follow I-5 North to Redding. Shasta Lake is just off I-5 on the West side. Nice area for scenery and driving when the weather is nice. Lots of mountain roads and history here. Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta are both near by and Lassen is still active. Lots of old gold mining towns around and Weaverville still maintains the downtown area just as it was 100 years ago. They have a nice small car show up there every year and the drive up the canyon and along the river is great. Lots of gold dredges in the river. I can drive 10 miles in one direction and be in mountains or 15 miles in another direction and be in almost flat desert. Since you are using his Visa Card today, get a ton of stuff and save yours next week.  Ron  |
Kristens gonna have a fit when she gets back and sees how many posts i have raked up:D  :JEKYLHYDE %/

Hey, Ron, I know that was too clever for you to have thought of on purpose.... KEEP IT CLEAN, BOYS, KEEP IT CLEAN! |

True. I wasn't thinking about it until I was ready to hit the submit button and then I thought, well lets see if they pick up on this error. We have gone an entire calendar year without snow, but this year, on Valentine's we had a huge snow. Very wet, and made for great snowman building. It was gone in less than 24 hours. This is quite nice today, as we don't usually get snow around Christmas. And extra nice because I've pretty much done my shopping and I just NEED TO FINISH MY CARDS and start wrapping. Don't need to get out. Maybe Sears will get done, maybe not.... Oh, yeah, I'll use his Visa, don't worry......
Now Mike, where all are you posting to inflate your count so high??? get to work! Did you have exams? Hope they went ok. Gosh I'm glad I'm done with school! oh, yes, in case anyone is wondering, and somebody did ask awhile back, I taught Kindergarten in Dallas ISD. Not in a long while, tho'. Stay home mom now.... |
This thread about nothing is actually picking up speed.

Kristen,
It was I who asked which grade that you taught. Now I know why you are so easy on Mike.  Mike, Somewhere in my mess of web sites I have the URL of a site that has a glossary of a lot of the abbreviations used on the net. If I can find it I will post it and then you can really confuse people as some of them are really out there. Like the BTT and TTT used when Turk was taking the donations for Brent. Ron :MECOOL: |
Kristen, that is my little secret;) :D
