Bored Edley? How long did it take you to make that?

Ron61 12-21-2004 04:40 AM

Change of pace !!

THE LAW IS THE LAW

So if the US government determines that it is
against the law for the words "under God" to be on our money,
then, so be it.

And if that same government decides that the "Ten Commandments" are not
to be used in or on a government installation, then,
so be it.

And since they already have prohibited any prayer in the schools,
on which they deem their authority, then so be it.

I say, "so be it," because I would like to be a
law abiding US citizen.

I say, "so be it," because I would like to think
that smarter people
than I are in positions to make good decisions.

I would like to think that those people have the
American Publics' best interests at heart.

BUT, YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I'D LIKE?

Since we can't pray to God,

can't Trust in God and
cannot Post His Commandments in Government buildings,

I don't believe the Government and
it's employees should participate in the Easter and Christmas or any other religious holiday (Holy Days) celebrations
which honor the God that our government is eliminating
from many facets of American life.

I'd like my mail delivered on Christmas, Thanksgiving & Easter.

After all, it's just another day.

I'd like the US Supreme Court to be in session on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter as well as Sundays. After all, it's just another day.

I'd like the Senate and the House of Representatives to not have to worry about getting home for the "Christmas Break."
After all ~ it's just another day.

I'm thinking that a lot of my taxpayer dollars could be saved, if all
government offices & services would work on Christmas,
Good Friday & Easter.

It shouldn't cost any overtime since those would
be just like any other day of the week to a government that is trying to be "politically correct".

In fact....

I think that our government should work on Sundays
(initially set aside for worshipping God...) because,
after all, our government says that it should be just another day....

What do you all think????

If this idea gets to enough people, maybe our elected officials will stop giving in to the minority opinions and begin, once again, to represent the majority of ALL of the American people.

SO BE IT...........

Please Dear Lord,

Give us the help needed to keep you in our country!

Amen and Amen

Ron :)

Mike,

Very cold here this morning at 2:45 AM. All the way down into the mid 40s. Should be back into the upper 50s or low 60s this afternoon. There is a light wind blowing now. Guess I will have to get my Arctic Parka out soon.

Maybe we could all get together and get Kristen a Moderator Staff for Christmas. Seems she hasn't gotten the moderator decoder ring yet. Etiqute is very important for a moderator of a thread such as this Kristen. :3DSMILE: :JEKYLHYDE

Addition== Mike's post count is pulling ahead of yours. :JEKYLHYDE

hey,littlecobra 12-21-2004 06:47 AM

don't want a staff. want the ring. :(
Edley, as usual, quite impressive..... sorry, not planning any trips to Calif. for Rose Bowl. Couldn't care less...
Been to a Cotton Bowl game once. Freshman year at Baylor, went with a guy at Texas A&M, aggies were playing?????
Never sat down the whole stupid game..... an aggie thing...

hmmm. 72* yesterday. supposed to be 36* tomorrow. Nice little swing there, huh??
now if you would all like me to turn into teacher from hell, I could correct all of ya'll's spelling errors! But I won't....
Just cuz I'm being nice, and all, in my MODERATOR position...
lots to do today! Have a great day!
Kristen

Ron61 12-21-2004 07:00 AM

Kristen'

Which grade do you teach? Sounds as if you did have quite a swing in temperature, but it will be back to normal Texas weather soon. Have a great day as it sounds as if you are going to really be busy.

Anyone have a Captian Crunch decoder ring left over that works? Or a Dick Tracy wrist radio. We could send that to Moderator Kristen and maybe she would over look our spelling blips. :JEKYLHYDE :3DSMILE:

I think a hundred and fifty pounds is pretty big for a dog.

clayfoushee 12-21-2004 02:56 PM

Now that's a topic worth discussing.....how big is too big for a dog?

Edley Rondinone 12-21-2004 03:38 PM

Well, I have four dogs, and we/they go thru about 80 lbs of dry dog food in a month......I have to steal the plastic bags that the people take to the recycle bins at the grocery store! I am a "Proud Poop-Picker-Upper!"

Mike, About 10 minutes! The hardest part is lining up the x's and . 's...the problem is, they dont take up the same amount of space on the line, so that's why sometimes the drawings are a little "awry", as it were!!!

Mike, thats exactly what I'm talking about.

uncltodd 12-21-2004 06:56 PM

Mike, it's a school night, at least here.

Get your young butt to bed and dream of Indigo blue Cobras with white stripes, twin roll bars, obnoxiously loud exhaust, 'way too much HP, and a line of young females waiting for rides.

Scoot over, I'm crawling in next to you.

UT

trularin 12-21-2004 09:30 PM

Dream of silver Cobras with twin black roll bars and a healthy Boss 351 under the hood.

You dream that, I would like to have a Saleen S7 in yellow or silver.

So what is the strangest pet you have. I have a Timber Wolf.

clayfoushee 12-21-2004 10:14 PM

Yikes.........Mike, don't listen to either of those two guys.

LwCwb 12-22-2004 04:41 AM

I dream of Guardsman blue cobras, white LeMans stripes, 4 rondals, a yellow team stripe on the drivers side front fender, vintage decals, black sidepipes, single black rollbar, and black quick jacks. And an FE with a 4 speed. Sometimes in my dream they are Rangoon Red with no stripes. Very tough decision.:D

UT, it is (was) a school night, only one day to go for the week after this:D

Clay, we are getting on topic here%/

Its too cold out!
