4 Barrel- this is probably not the right thread to post that....
go to the forum "all cobra talk", and see what happens there.
better yet, do a quick search, (in all cobra talk forum) and you'll find lots of answers to your same question.
good luck!

ERA's website is pretty informative, no matter which brand you select.

New Border Signs:

Latest Polling Shows: Forty-three percent of all Americans say that illegal immigration is a serious problem. The other 57 percent said: "No hablo inglés."

trularin 11-13-2006 06:35 AM

Ron!! Great sign.

I watched Red Dawn last night. There is a movie that would make you think, especially with all these illegals "visiting" the USA.

Overcast, looks like snow again. Hmmmm......... Could be a fire day. I have the day off!!!!!!!

YAHOO! :D :D :D

:(

Tru,

Cold and raining here and supposed to keep it up until tomorrow evening. High is supposed to be around 60 degrees, but they have chain warnings out for many of the towns in the lower mountains. Also of all things, they are going to work on the Pit River Bridge Thanksgiving Day and have signs out warning people to not travel in that area as it may take them hours to be allowed to cross. This is the main part of I-5 just North of here. They are expecting traffic to be backed up for many miles according to the news. There suggestion was that people traveling go around. That is almost 180 miles to get around that bridge. **)

Ron

Rain, rain, go away.

Rain yesterday, today and tomorrow. But at least it's not snow. Temps in mid-50's.

Maybe I'll start cleaning the Cobra and get it spiffy lookin' for the Christmas parade at the end of the month. The population of Quincy is about 93K, but the attendance for our 3 mile Xmas parade is over 100K people.  Santa and his elves parachutes in every year.

Just woke up - time for breakfast. :JEKYLHYDE :JEKYLHYDE

Now we have great driving weather.

HLC, I had IE7 for two days before I uninstalled it. It messed with so many other things not related to browseing the internet I couldn't stand to work with it. If you like tabs, you might try Firefox.

Ron61 11-13-2006 10:53 AM

Brent,

I tried IE 7 for a few days and then took it out also. My older computer doesn't have SP-2 installed and it won't work right without it. Also ran into a couple of other problems, one being it clashed with my virus and firewall programs. I haven't tried the new Firefox 2 browser yet, but it is supposed to be improved over 1.5, except there are a few places they say won't show up well if you don't use some add ons.

I downloaded IE 7 about a week ago. Have XP Pro SP2. No problems at all.

and I did not get any messages .....

Ron61 11-14-2006 04:03 AM

Warren,

I have XP Pro with SP-2 in this computer but IE-7 still had some kind of clash with my security suite. There was supposed to be a download patch for it but I just went back to IE-6 as I am tired of downloading patches to make everything new work with the older stuff and they seem to just create more problems in some cases. I am to old and tired to start trying to figure out just what is needed to make everything get along. I am starting to think the best computer repair tool is a sledge hammer. :D

Ron

trularin 11-14-2006 06:37 AM

I just got XP Pro and it had the IE7 upgrade deal on the system disc.

There seems to be a few querks, but overall it's okay. I don't roam the internet like I used to.

:D

wtm442 11-14-2006 08:47 AM

IE-7 Fix attached :p :p

Ron61 11-14-2006 09:00 AM

I have kind of been looking at some laptops lately, but until this battery thing gets resolved, I am going to hold off on buying one. I saw in the news this morning that there was going to be more recalls. :(

Ron

flipper35 11-14-2006 10:50 AM

The problem with IE7 is with your networking. If you upgrade and are using a file server, be prepared to do some reconfiguring. Even if the network is your trusted zone. I didn't like it that well anyway.

trularin 11-14-2006 11:54 AM

Yeah, I understand there are several recalls on the laptop batteries. I'd hate to have my computer explode while I was working.

Ron61 11-14-2006 12:04 PM

All of these problems with the batteries has to be hurting Sony. I bet now they wish they hadn't tried to save a few dollars by having them made in Taiwan or wherever it was. :(

Ron

flipper35 11-14-2006 12:25 PM

If they have problems like this with Li-polys imagine what will happen when they switch to the butane fuel cells. You won't be flying with those I bet!

Ron61 11-14-2006 01:01 PM

I had kind of wondered about that. They had a show on the Discovery Channel the other night showing some small turbo jet engines the size of a postage stamp and said that in the future they may be used to generate power for computers and such. One was so small they had to use a microscope and monitor to see it and they said they are already using a version of it in the military but it is classified so they couldn't say what on.

Well, off to the dentist today. Darn, I hate going there. And it is cold as all get out but they had said it would be raining today. So far this morning it hasn't rained any. Everyone have a great day. :(

Ron :)
