Commander - it's not good to call people idiots even if others do outside this forum. I thought that you were calling me an idiot and I was about to eat your lunch.
Anyway, as noted by dblbarrel - people in the middle are clueless, they are the one's voting based on the look of candidates and not much else. Of course, they are the one's electing these yahoos - so sad. |

Mark, Fred (392) only posted something he had cut and pasted, he never said it. Anything that Commander sees he takes exception to and wants to start an argument, his own words, as there is no such thing as a discussion if anyone disagrees with anyone else. I try to avoid posting in any thread he posts in because I know anything I say he will immediately start trying to impress everyone by his vast knowledge and I don't have to agree with everyone, but I do listen to their view points and if I am wrong I will admit it. big boss...not a matter of whether something is funny or not, or whether Ron or I agree with them (I tend to agree with Commander on more than a few issues), but personal attacks lead to like responses, the resulting pissing matches and inevitably closed threads which are no fun for the rest of the folks. There is more leeway in the Lounge than anywhere else, but there are limits, and he had been warned before. Also, when we moderate...that's it, and folks need to simply move on.

You wanted to see what would happen if we brought religion into the mix. I figured that the chances of offending someone who practiced Zoroastrianism was relatively slim, I choose the founder of the religion to pick upon. Of course I needed to bring the "idiot" comment into the mix and then the leftist part. The multi-theism part was a reference back to Zarathustra in that Zoroastrianism is often viewed as the first major monotheistic religion. Of course I suppose I could have gone on and mentioned something about Stanley Kubrick and really tried for some thread entropy points! :) |

Zoroaster (Zarathustra) was a devotee of Mazda... so much so they have a new model coming out named Zo-roadster. I sure do miss my RX7.

No no no! Zarathustra is an age old combination of words meant to hide the real meaning of a word or phrase. Thus practitioners could hurl insults without fear of retribution (from the admin) such as "you would not know Zarathustra a hole in the ground". Perhaps commander could learn from this technique!
