I think fear helped keep the honest kids in line they knew what disapline was and headed acordingly no one in ther right mind wanted to go to the vise principal for swats it worked now, the liberals want us to be kinder and gentel and the disruptive ones ruin the classes Spare the rod is = to hating your children. Oh but those things thats written in the good book dont apply anymore, haaaa thats what you think.Your in for a rude awakening very soon...WB3

To funny. While I think a slap on the face is demeaning, a swat on the rear is a good attention getter. Go back to the good old days of pledge of allegiance, teachers empowered to do their jobs, discipline in the schools and most importanly, two parents that give a $hit.
I remember when I was young, my uncle was heading down the wrong path and was really misbehaving. So, my grandparents sent him to catholic military school... nuns in combat boots with goverment issue steel yard sticks. He straigtened out in no time flat!
