Last year there was a tragic incident in CT where a mother and her two daughters were killed in a home invasion. The father was seriously injured. Since then, other home invasions have received press coverage.

In a recent home invasion, the home was locked but the car parked in the driveway was not locked. The intruders used the garage door opener to gain access to the garage and used an unlocked internal door to gain access to the interior of the home.

Home security requires locking the car, even when parked in the driveway, as well as locking all the house doors.
