My friends are in the Dallas area I think it is, there reports of hot weather bothered me. Their reports of the taxes were pretty good. Maybe I should revisit the SOUTH Texas idea. Someone mentioned Mexico, is that actually 'do able' or just for a few that really know what the heck their getting into? The extreme low cost of living sounds quite interesting... Can you BUY land/house there or have to rent?

Is there some kind of 'professional' service a guy can hire to check out some of these details? Like a 'national' or 'international' real estate type person?
