Well I see that Kim has appointed his heir. Keeping it in the family as usual.

It's been in the family for to long now. His old man was appointed by his Father and he is the one that started the war. Then he appointed this idiot and he wants to start another war so bad he can't wait so there will be some fame left for him. He wants to go down in the history books like his Father for starting a war.

Ron ... the main problem I see is that most people today have no idea what happened on Korea ... that`s why it is called the forgotten war . Some of us are old enough to remember what it was all about . There are still several veterans here in the Marine Corps League who were in Korea and I grew up with a boy whose older brother was killed in Korea . That was really bad as his father went upstairs and killed himself with a shotgun .
When I was in Basic , we still had cadre who were vets from Korea and some of the training was based on what happened there .... but for the most part today , that experience is gone .... and it appears that the current administration has no desire to understand what happened ... and that you can`t solve things by talking ( I still remember the truce " talks " ) .

Bob,

The so called truce talks were just one big fight. MPs from our side shooting theirs and theirs shooting ours. And on top of that the fighting went on for a good two months after the so called armistice was signed, it was just kept close to the DMZ and has been going on ever since. Not many left around here that was in Korea either. One old guy that I used to talk to but haven't seen him for along time now and I fear he has passed on. The last parade, I only saw about 6 or 8 that had been in Korea. Even one of our leaders I was listening to the other day was paying tribute to the people who had served and he listed everything from the Revolutionary war to now except he skipped Korea and sent right to Vietnam.
