I'm a big supporter of both the first and second amendments. Just call me a moderately conservative liberal.

Really liked the fourth too, before it was gutted by the so-called "law and order" crowd.

I fully support the U.S. Constitution. I just don't believe that someone in our country illegally should be granted those same rights.... If they want those rights, they should gain them RIGHTFULLY, not ILLEGALLY!

Really, a supporter? How do you tell, on the street, a citizen from an illegal alien? And here I was thinking the Constitution was simply a basic assertion of human rights and our relationship to society and its means of governance. Why not just set up "citizenship checkpoints" at state borders (why not county borders?) and give everyone a quick frisk? Just think of all the benefits!

Hmmm, rights for some and none for others -- sounds like a firm basis for exploitation. Which may be why corporations knowingly hire illegal aliens; low wages, no benefits and no fuss from their threat labor (read that as no organizing). And lower wages for citizens too! It's a win-win!

Now, just how should "they" go about gaining "our" rights, "rightfully"?

They pay income taxes thanks to payroll tax withholding -- same as you and I.

Illegal aliens are probably paid under the table.

My grandfather was an illegal alien from Ireland. He became a legal US citizen by joining the Army in WWI.

Sounds like an option to me. Join the military or go back to where you came from.

Just what we need, a more militaristic society. Sorry guys, I'm part Blackfoot -- you're all invaders and illegal aliens as far as I'm concerned. Manifest Destiny my a$$...

The grim facts to which you refer (in a subsequent post) merely point out that we are being sold down the river by "American" banks and corporations. But you really can't blame them, after all there is money to be made and they own the best Congress money can buy.

Too bad we're such fools for their propaganda; blame illegal aliens, yeah right.
