I use stainless fasteners wherever possible, they seem to resist showing tool wear. Hurricane used yellow chromate plated bolts throughout and I have since replaced most of the non-grade 8 yellow bolts and nuts with stainless. If you have a pneumatic die grinder and some Scotchbrite Roloc surface prep discs, you can buff them up if you like that polished look.
