I understand Connecticut charges property tax on vehicles, but that's a totally foreign (excuse the pun) concept to me. We pay sales tax on the purchase price, but once that's done it's just annual licensing and registration fees.
Question: How many states / municipalities charge property tax each year on vehicles? Is this an exception, or more common than not?
