Ooops, Sorry. I thought after I made the remarks, "Gee what if their name really is Moneymaker". Oh well, my foot fits well in my mouth. It has spent a lot of time there.

Congratulations to the Bride and Groom!

Slab wus,

I'm not in charge of where we will meet. Probably the same place we met last year. Oops, forgot. You didn't make it to that one either. Check with Rich (in name only), as he has the tickets.

Fred,

I just keep rolling along. My Bow Tie has developed an oil leak. Must have caught it from all the Fords it was forced to associate with in Idaho!

Rich,

OK, the old f--t is being cranky so I'll ask you...as keeper of the tickets, when/where do we meet?

In the past we've met at Denny's in North Bend, eaten breakfast. and caravanned to the track. I thought that worked out pretty well. Any other ideas?

I got the tickets in the mail today along with an info sheet. They suggest arriving at the car corral between 8:30 & 10:30. Earlier is better to stake out our territory.

Also, per our discussion the other day, I volunteered seats in the Cobras for kids during the parade laps. I haven't heard back yet. SOVREN already has a deal where car corral participants take track workers along on the parade laps. If the kid thing doesn't pan out, please consider offering the track workers a seat in your Cobra. These folks are all volunteers who work their butts off to provide a safe, entertaining event for all of us.

18 Cobras on board at this point. Haven't heard from Dennis and Kathie yet but once Dennis stops admiring his new valve covers, gets the rock chips fixed from the GICR and gets over the trauma from having worked on my Bow Tie he will surface. Also assume G.R.'s knee will have mended enough to let him and Vicki make the run.

The time we plan to spend in LaConner seems to be sitting well, particularly with the Wimmin Folk. Gonna see if I can get the city fathers to designate a place for us to park.

Default 20 Cobras now

I checked with the Port of LaConner about parking. They told me we can all park in the South lot of the marina which is about 4 short blocks from town. Will cost $2 for the day.

I'll post a list next week regarding food, as in "Who is bringing what".

Default Food List

I have kind of lost track of exactly how many cars are coming. It stood at 20, but last weekend at SOVERN I met 4 or 5 local folks whom I had not met before who said they wanted to be included in the run, so I reckon the count now is around 25....Yeeeeha!

Please don't feel like you need to bring food to the Skagit run, but a number of you have indicated that you want to. Therefore, what follows is a list of those who have offerd to bring food and what they are bringing. Y'all might want to check the list and perhaps coordinate with each other so we don't end up with "too" many of the same things!

Here is the list of those who have indicated they are bringing stuff and what they said they will bring, if they indicated it. Add your name and what you will be bringing. And once again, please don't feel you have to bring anything. I think we are going to have plenty.

Steve and Penny, Food!

Bob Parmenter, Something with protien
that needs the mirowave

Rich and Mich, Cherry Cheese Cake

Kevin and Dianne, Salad or Cake

Jay and Dolly, Desert

Roger C, Food!

Paul and Linda, Food!

Remember that I will be doing Ribs, Baked beans, Salad, Beer and Pop so don't worry about that kind of stuff.

Bish

Hey Bish,
With all that good food happening we will need to all get big shoehorns to get our butts back into the cobras.

Default A word of warning

The State (patrol) Storm Troopers seem to have hired a bunch of new "kids" and they are being very agressive up here. They are all over the place, I guess they break them in up here and from what I hear they are not cutting anybody any slack. You will find them on the overpasses and near areas in the median where trees start and/or stop. They are also using a plane so be careful. Most of them still have "Zits" and are out to make a name for them selves. So when you come up here be careful, particularly on I-5 from Stanwood north. You will also find the B*****ds on hwy 9 and of course they have "front reading radar".

Guess Gov. Gary Boy figures he can make up part of the lost "Tag" revenue by turning the up the screws on the driving public.

Bish,
Please no more posts about the State Patrol. Our Slab Lord already goes two mile per hour under just so he won't be noticed. However, we all need to follow two miles after Fred "Dynamite" Hamilton and Kevin and Diane in Blue Cobra. They certainly will have most all the attention.
I'd like to try to keep up with Fred, but Spike read me the riot act after the end of last Saturday. I'll only get to use 6 cylinders at the cruise. She's got two plug wires in her pocket. She kept saying something about a reponsible adult, anyone know who she is talking about?

Keith,
Just be glad that all she pulled out was the plug wires! I personally have installed a new 5 point harness on Bev's side so that she is cinched in so tight that she can't reach me while we 'Putt" along.

You know the old saying lead follow or get to the back of the pack. You can still have a lot of fun with these cars and still obey the speed limit, but what really gets my goadnads is when a storm trooper appears people slow down below the S/L.
Now about last weekend, Keith you did a fine job in leading.
For this cruise are the South Enders going to group up and go up together????
