glad you had a nice time, and I really enjoyed the photo essay. I like doing those, too.

Wow, I didn`t know there are 'stone waxers' out there who will over-restore stuff too!
Give me the "CSX3288" Stonehenge anyday!

Thanks for the comments!
nikbj68,
That's funny that they say CSX3288 was sold by Ron Tonkin Ford. I will have to look into this more Monday. See Ron is Marv's brother and I have always thought that Marv was the only one with the Ford Dealership. I work for the Ron Tonkin Chevrolet in Portland so It shouldn't be to tough for me to find out.

Hi Allen
It looks like the lettering is holding up pretty good, has the color changed or is that just road grime, any peeling? I've been up that byway in a Miata, can't wait until I can do it in my car.
John

Hi John - My lettering turned yellow as soon as I used tire dressing, got to re-do the lettering this winter. Not bad for near two years and I think t would have lasted longer if I didn't use the dressing on them. There hasn't been any lifting of the paint at all. It is well worth the effort in my book. BTW - I am off for another two days and decided to go north in the cobra towards Seattle and up to Whidbey Island, Washington it should be another fun drive. Will post pictures lator.

Personally, I like the 'vintage' look of the lettering as it is!!!
I love the way that so many people are linked to, or were part of, all of the Cobra story, from start up to date....and are happy to share that knowledge & insight with those of us who missed it 'first time around', even to details like which dealer sold which car!
Make sure the camera is fully loaded!!!Have a great trip, Allen!
Nik.

I've seen that stonehenge up in the gorge. When was it built?
I also like the yellowed letters. Looks more authentic
