Kurt, I've worked my way down David Kee's chart a number of times, and I think I need the shortest tailhousing available - the 14" version if possible. That means the C6OR-7A040-V or C7OR-7A040-A or D0ZR-7A040-A tailhousings....or a Tiger version like rsk's at an inch an a half longer would be acceptable.
Apologies for the diversion rsk, back to your thread....
Cheers,
Glen

Default Resurrecting this old thread...

I now have my nice new T10L correct ally-casing trans from Jim Cowles sitting next to the toploader. The tail casings are different. The reason I was having trouble getting the trans to sit correctly is that the mounting pad on the T10 sits around 3/4" lower from the output shaft centre than the toploader's mounting pad. I am using the correct-for-Cobra T'bird style chassis trans mount, as supplied by Acton, which works perfectly with the T10 but which would need a substantial spacer to mount the toploader at the correct height. Also, as a minor issue, the T10 mounting pad threaded holes are closer together, to suit the T'bird type clamping bracket.
Mystery solved - the T10 and toploader mounting pad positions are different!
This T10 is a real work of art...

Roger
