The steering wheel reminds me of a Beetle's. The scuttle hoop, where the door hinges are attached, should be curved to fit under the ally body. Unless the piece was moved in far enough to clear the radius.
Someone could have fitted a 289 or even 427 body on it without knowing exactly how the frame looked under the skin. I.e. where the spare wheel sits.
But it could have meant to receive a totally different body, like an equivalent of the Willment Ghia Cobra (Fiat 8V Supersonic) on a 427 chassis.
Agree on 289 or ACE chassis.
