Here we have replaced the inner bushings on the front lower control arms.
Everything is nice and straight now and should work just fine.
Ready to be all dolled up with new powder coating.

Glad you like it Jeff!!!
Craig has removed all of the goodies from the car as it will be heading to the painter over the next few weeks. He put the car on the rotisserie and is finishing up all of the detail work on the bottom side. Exciting times...

I've been following this thread and I can't wait to see the finished product. You're to be congratulated for following through on this project.

Thanks Tim - I appreciate the encouraging words. If I hadn't connected with Craig, I very much doubt I would have followed through with this project. He is a very talented fabricator and so much more. My standards are very high and he has not disappointed. When all is said and done, I think this is going to be one heck of a car. I can't wait to see the finished product either

Hi Kevin,
The 2.5" K&N filter that fits the S&H air cleaner is the E-1025.

Next up is the rear control arms, I decided to replace the upper rear control arms.
Fresh out of the jig and ready for coating.

Next up we are fabricating the small race screen.
Not very practical on the street of course but looks great for the race car look.
Might also come in handy for the odd track event!.

Hey I loved the race screen on my car!
Kevin found it chilly in the passenger seat but I was toasty.

Craig,
I see you decided to fabricate your own race screen. Looking nice so far. Where are you getting the screen from and what will it be made of? Lexan, glass or something else?
Jim

Probably Lexan, many pictures of early cars I have seem to have this style of screen.
Started the pattern for the lexan.
Waiting on some help from a good friend to finalize the shape of the lexan.
Needed to get the base mounted so the car can go to paint.

The last thing on the list before paint is fitting the tonneau cover.
Now we are ready for the shinny stuff!

Craig,
Nice job on the tonneau cover. Where did you get the material from? I fitted one to my ERA and used their pre-made kit; all I had to due was instal the lift dots. Looking forward to seeing the painted product. What is the wait time on the paint job?
Jim

It may be a small detail, but this is a great addition to the build. I am extremely happy to have this piece.
