Beautiful Ozgur! Now I wait in anticipation of seeing it mocked up in place on the buck. Post some side profile shots too, if you can. This documentation of your work in this thread is inspiring.

No, you didn't miss it.
100% of this thread about scratch built bodyshell.
I'm planning backbone chassis, if I didn't change my mind.

Thumbs up!!
It's a good look, Oz! Be careful - you may start getting requests to put it into production.
Looking at the profile shot, it remindes me a bit of the hardtop assembly that the British replica manufacturer Gardner Douglass (sp?) used to offer. The gullwing doors were incorporated into the top assembly and the whole thing could be installed or removed relatively easily. It didn't incorporate the windshield and frame like yours does though.
My wife Pauline will be passing through your neck of the woods in july/august as part of a trip and Greek Isles cruise with her family - I should get her to stop by and take some pictures of your project!

Ozgur,
If you could put a price on that buck, (not including labor, just materials), how much would ya say?
Another thing, you had mentioned an epoxy block with 5 axis CNC. Does that cost more to do (leaving the CNC machine out of it)?
I am amazed at your skills!
Mike

I don't really care for the GD shape either, but I do find their chassis intriguing.

PS: Don't worry Oz your secrets are safe! - Pauline will be going to Ephesus in August. Too far away from Istanbul for her to sneak by and take spy photos of your project, lol!

Just kidding about the secrets Oz. After all, here you are sharing your incredible work with all of us. It would be fantastic to visit you in Turkey, but unfortunately this trip I'm staying home stuck on a business project while the wife globetrots with the in-laws.
EDIT: Nice rear!

The GD cobra chassis is more akin to a TVR style layout, but yes they all stem from early Lotus designs. GD now have the AC MK4 body molds and produce the most lovely bodies that can be simply polished to a paint like finish.
Ozgur, your work and skills are just so amazing
Sorry for the threah drift.

Thank you for your kind words
I've had opinion to paint car bodies that made of composite material instead of polished gel coat finish.
Please take a look to rear view of my buck without clear coat applied.
Regards,
Ozgur @ istanbul
