Hello...windshield angle
As a new member I wanted to say hello. I am in the early stages of a Cobra build, which of course raises a multitude of questions. For starters, does anyone know the proper angle (slope) to set the windshield?

Do a search on this subject. 45 degrees is the number for most applications. Some people like the more raked back look of a 289 Comp car. It also depends a lot on whether you'll be using side curtains or a top.

Have your Cobra on the ground, correct air pressure in tires, frame/ ride height adjusted, etc. sit in the seat and have someone to hold the windshield in place. Check to see if your head/ eyes are above or below the top windshield brace. Use a protactor to check the angle. I think 45 to 53 degrees is OK. If you have a top then the angle will have to match the top. Side curtains sometimes can be modified to fit correctly. We have put a FFR hardtop on a Hurricane but had to cut the side curtains at the front and add a piece to the bottom.

Thanks for your help with the windshield guys. Greatly appreciated. The next question is... what is the original roll bar size? I have seen them from 1.5 inches up to 2 inches. Also, what is the measurement center to center? (where it enters the body)
Actually made a little progress with it in the last few days!!! Sadly, many more still needed...sigh.
