Exclamation SAAC Registry for CSX4000

Many owners of "New Generation" Cobras from Shelby American may not be aware that there is a SAAC Registry for these cars.

Owners of CSX4000, 7000 and 8000 cars should contact:

Kevin Rogers
P.O. Box 2047
Elizabeth, CO 80107

Owners simply need to send Kevin a stamped/self-addressed envelope and he will send them a registry form.

Kevin can be reached at rileyso22@hotmail.com

I heard from SAAC that a registry for Cobras (without Mustangs or other) is planned.

I wonder if they list the 4000 and others as well.

Default Quick Question on a CXS4000 ??

Does anyone know how I can get quick info on a CSX4000 without getting my own registry copy... I basically want to know if this is a authentic Shelby, how it was equiped, and any history/ownership info.

Someone calims that a car is a Shelby but the price he is asking really low... I just want to know if I'm being taken or not!!

Thanks!

Kevin,

Any idea when the window of opportunity closes on registering for the new SAAC edition? Furthermore, when can we expect it to be out in circulation?

Thanks.

I am about to get my cobra CSX4872, I live in Massachusetts, and I am struggling to find out what is the best way to get VIN, Title and registration. Apparently the days of getting an out of state title from "Titles Unlimited" is over. Do they call it a 2007, or does the date of the engine determine what emissions and safety standards the car must meet? I have also heard about SEMA proposed legislation regarding "hot rods and customs" It allows the car to be registered as say 1966 Cobra because that it what it was manufactured to resemble. Please....any sugestions.

We have set up a special Registration Forum, to discuss the individual requirements by state.

http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/registration-forum/

Check that forum's posts to see if there is any info...
...or, repeat your question in a new post in that forum

You would have better luck if you posted this in the 'Registration' forum.

But the short answer to your question is: you'ed better sit down and do a search here on CC for information. Oh, and pour yourself a strong one!

Good luck, & welcome to the club!

Shelby Automobiles, Inc. also has an on-line registry for the same cars. You can find it here:

The regisrty for the Cobra's is pretty much covered with SAAC. Databases here are being updated regularly as owners supply information. Owners are only be able to view their information.

Roger- So if someone is looking at purchasing a Shelby and would like background information on the car / it's history, will that person have to PAY for that info now?

I'm a little confused at how this is going to work.

Ron,

You would go to the Shelby Registry icon, click through the information and then enter your VIN. The next screen asks if you are adding information, click yes. This will give the vehicle information you entered. No other information will be viewable due to privacy concerns.

Nope, the next screen just asks if you are adding a new owner.

Ron,

If you have entered data and click throught the screens and get to the VIN entry your next screed will ask you if you are adding a new owner, click yes and the next screen will give you the information that has already been entered.

If you click no, that page in under construction and will be an "add to the original entry" screen which will have security in place to assure you are the current owner and you will be able to add additional historical information.

Roger
