I used the same weatherstrip. Had to take it all back off and rough up the back side with sandpaper to get it to stick well. Ran a small bead of adhesive on the strip about 2 feet at a time. Putting the strip on the movable panel as opposed to the body makes it less visible and keeps it out of harms way i.e. people getting in and out etc. I put mine on the doors and on the body for the hood and trunk opening.
