Doug just my two cents, painting my garage with reflective white paint did wonders for lighting, I used 2 bulb flourescent fixtures without the reflectors and one is suspended on chains which is directly above my bench.
My garage is 22'x24' and there are 7 fixtures in all. I originally had 40 watt tubes but a neighbor installed 32W bulbs with a green strip around the ends (Home Depot) which I could not believe the diference. I changed them and left one fixture with the 40W for comparison. Amazing difference. When I first started on my kit, I suspended the body from the ceiling and worked on the frame directly below it. I attached a single bulb flood lamp to the 2x6's whch were running through the wheel wells suspended by four pulleys. Plenty of light. Also like one of the other posts I installed PVC pipe for air lines and I think I paid about $25, I even ran one pipe through the wall to the outside of the garage. I have a 6HP 60 gallon compressor and It's been working this way perfectly for 5 years.

Yes that is the Excalibur in the showroom along with my 51 Merc and 34 Roadster. I'm the 3rd owner of the Excalibur (long story)

I took it completely apart and built it MY way... hence the 351C and other modifications you won't see on other Excaliburs.

As you know, I also acquired the "LAST ONE"... the very last Cobra to leave the Excalibur factory. Plans are to build that one for the track.Still need a few parts but that's gonna have to wait til the shop is done. LOTs to do!

I'll supply shop pictures as I make more progress.

This place is a car guys dream come true for sure!

Default HGTV: Building Character

HGTV is scheduled to come in August for the "Shoot"

The "house" is done as well as the outside, terrace, landscaping, and even the showroom. The shop still has lots to do. Of course that means no work on the cars for a while.

Default Update

HGTV did the "Shoot" on Friday. It was a pretty busy day. 10 people, 3 cameras rolling capturing everything at every angle.

They will incorporate some of our "before" and "during" photos and videos.

The Program is called "Rezoned" and will be aired about Nov 27 or Dec 4.
