Thanks for all of the input guys. I think I will go the bedliner route. I like the idea of the 3M clear, but my fenders are too nicked up. As for the leather spats, I like the idea, but they don't look right for my competition styling. The static cling idea is a good one, but has the problem of getting wet or flying off, which I learned over and over with my static graphics. I also wonder if the cling will get damaged by larger rocks. Guys running Bias Ply race tires know what I mean. I don't know if the spray bed liner is my final solution, but it will work for now. I ran some tests on a piece of aluminium and I was very pleased. The spray I have dries rough, but not as rough as the spats in John's picture. I will keep you all informed and of course post pictures when I'm done.
