Default 8.8" Irs

Hello,
Could anyone give me some measurements of the 8.8" differential, half shafts and CV joints?
1. Diff. width
2. Diff height
3. Diff length
4. Mount locations relative rear cover
5. Pinion location relative to vertical center line
6. Output location in x & y planes relative to rear cover mnt flange and bottom of diff.
7. Inner CV length and diameter
8. Outer CV length
Is the aluminum housing the same shape as the cast iron one? I'll be using Alum.

I know this is asking a lot, but it would help a lot in my chassis design process. Larry had tried to send this info but it got lost when the site went down.

Thanks very much,
Al Keller

Hey Al,
Looks like you didn't get my email before the big crash.

I do have a few measurments from my notes:
Overall length :16"
Overall height : 10.75"

The two front mounts are 7" apart, center to center. The pinion center is 3.5" from each mount (front).
The pinion is 1.5" off center and the rear mount is in line with the pinion.
The output shafts to rear mount is 6".

My notes don't have the overall width and I don't have CV joints to take measurments. I'm not at home at the moment to take more. As far as I know, the aluminum case is the same shape as the iron one. They mount in the same space according to FFR postings on their site. Mine is an 2003 SVT aluminum case diff. There's lots of info on the FFR site about them too.

Default Thanks

Larry,
Thanks so much. This will help a lot. If you can get any other measurements, that would be great.
