Default Hoses and fittings

What AN size hose should I run between the remote oil filter adapter block and the filter? Motor is FE 482 with HV oil pump.

Thanks, guys.

Phil,

Suggest you use -10AN. Choose good quality hoses and fittings (I like Aeroquip) and make sure you blow out and completely clean the lines before installing them as any dirt or fillings in oil lines can damage your engine.

At least -10. Don't be afraid of -12, either.

I think original set-up is 12 AN

Default 12 is better if the block is setup for them

Philminotti Phil 12 is better than #10. I have run #10 for 9 years and will be switching to #12 lines and cooler for the next motor. This is for racing. Under normal driving, I see no problem with 10. The real problem is you want HI-FLOW connections. You understand that ever joint, turn, coupler cost you a little flow and pressure drop. Some of the bigger cobra racers with dry sump are running #14 to and from the oil tank. In this case being bigger will no hurt anything. It will cost a little more. Rick L.
