lovehamr,

I have not put an isolator in the steering shaft yet, but will end up putting one of those isolated u joints made by flaming river, if I havn't found the problem soon.
I do have plans to have the alignment checked and/or adjusted.
The headers Im running are FPA in washington, there were no clearance issues.

Bruce:
I have checked all fasteners that hold the rack to the frame, but will check again for bottoming out. I did check and retighten tiny set screws with loctite, at all locations of ujoints etc...
The tech guys at Total Control (Chris Alstons) have been very helpful so far as far as tests and adjustments.

I pulled my rear axles over the weekend, one of the axel bearings felt like it needed attention. They are getting replaced tonight. The pinion bearing felt great.

I dont want to do multiple changes between test drives, I'd like to pinpoint this sucker and find out exactally what was causing this.

Plan:
1)test drive with new rear axel bearings.
2)test drive with new shorter lug nuts (im currently using trans- am long style lug nuts approx 4" long)
3)Revisit rack and pinion mounting locations, and test for play
4) Have tires/wheels balanced while on the car
5) Revisit the alignment specs, test car for straightness
6) Replace entire braking system and spindle upgrade (Global West pro vintage set up)
7) Purchase a 12 pack of beer, and scratch my head some more.

More to come.
