Yes it can be done, however; it is not that easy to do if it is a street engine on pump gas with a hyd. cam. Anybody can advertise 600 hp on a dyno, but is it an honest 600hp? Remember horsepower is a marketing tool (It sales engines).

You will need a dart block, big heads that will flow at least 300 and an intake that will flow just as good (225cc and super victor intake) and a big cam and a lot of stroke

My engine specs
461Ci SBF
AFR 225 heads (8mm valve stems with titanium retainers)
High rev lifters
LSM custom ground Hyd. roller cam 262 268 at 50, 680 680 with a 1.72 ratio
Super Victor
Ross custom pistons with total seal rings (gapless)
Eagle rods and crank
Quick Fuel 850
Max dyno pull 601 HP 596TQ (small headers)
Average dyno pull 596HP

Give Adam or Mark a call http://www.precisionraceengines.com/ they did a great job for me.
