You could take it off and take it to a place that can bead blast it. It will look new, but will be a little raw. You would probably need to seal it with a clear finish or have it polished to maintain the nice finish.

If you glass bead it, take it and put it on a shelf to look at. No matter what you you do, you will NEVER get all the glass beads out of it. Gee, what will a couple of glass beads do when they hit the walls of your cylinders or better yet, get into you oil system and run around your main bearings a couple of times..........

Couldn't you seal off the openings with duct tape to keep the glass beads out and just blast off the outer surface? I've done it this way several times and it works fine as long as you use plenty of tape and make sure to seal it down properly.
