Unfortunately I think we lost the post from long long ago that covered getting your vehicle registered. The problem you are having mad is the inspection station....I remember people that had to bring a copy of the rules with them to the DPS to make sure it was done properly.

Search is my friend...I went back and found the post. This should give you the insight you need on registering....
