Default Holley Tune up expert needed.

I need to set the timing on my cobra and set the 650 DP this weekend. Anyone good at doing this? The primary float must be set way too high? My throat was burning from a recent drive as I smelled raw fuel. The primary float screw has these stupid paper washers and the fuel was so high in the primary that the washers were dissenigrated and fuel was dripping onto the manifold !

Guess I just need a good carb tweaking. Volunteers for this weekend or advice?

Regards,

Hey Dave you know me glad to help!

Just give me a wrench. Did you get the gaskets for the Float adjuster?

Default Are You Guy On for this weekend?

Stretch and Joe (per Stretch) may come up this weekend to help tweek the beast. Mustang Mendez said he would come up either Saturday afternoon or Sunday.

I'll have the intake gaskets, tonight. I'm also going to need to set up the distributor and adjust the floats on the carb.

Let's get some Cobra's to the house.

Are You Guy On for this weekend?

Of course I have Homebrew! What a silly question!

Hey Renman,

I know very little about carbs (except that I eat too much of them ), but I can help you with almost anything else -- intake gasket swap, etc. Sat or Sun works for me, so let the others decide. Let me know if you need any tools or liquids as well -- torque wrench, RTV, thread sealant, etc. 512-799-2645.

Cheers,
-Neil.

Default Sunday is a Go!

Sunday at 1pm sounds like a winner.

I have the Holley parts coming in. Someone bring a timing light?

Only thing I can't seem to get is the stupid felt washers for the nut and screw that adjust the float height.

I'm at 303 River Ridge Dr. in Georgetown. From whereever you are coming (Tony take 183 N. to I-35 North) Take I-35 North to exit #260, Leander Rd. (2243). Cross over the highway heading West. Go 1 Mile, you'll pass a Middle School on your Right. The road will narrow to one lane in each direction. There are three entrances to the River Ridge Subdivision. Take the third entrance. This is River Ridge Dr. and you can only turn right. This street has a divided grassy median. Proceed straight ahead, go through the first stop sign. I am on the left side of the street, White Brick Single Story Home 303 River Ridge Dr. My cell ph. is 512-633-7373 if you get in a bind.

See you all on Sunday.

Thanks!

Smile BBQ?

Hey Guys,

Don't fully count me at 1pm. I'm working until about 12 on Sunday and I will be coming up straight from work so I be as close to 1 as I can get.

Hope to just be able to get there in a timely fashion.
