Default It's under control!

Fellow members,
This morning, both Tom Meadows and I received return calls from Jack Tunnell. Jack is the FFR coordinator that is heading up the project. The focus through this month will be on the funeral and family, and sorting out what the true status of the state of build the car is actually in.
The support from the membership of both forums has been much greater than anyone expected! It seems that the focus is going to be to help Joel complete the car at his pace, and not one of a "rush, get it done in 48 hours". Jack mentioned that more than 4 or 5 people becomes a "beer and pizza" afternoon and I concur with him. The feeling of both Tom & I is that we/they will assess the mechanical ability of Joel, and then 2 or 3 of us(the grunts) at a time could work under the direction of one of the FFR guys that has at least one build under his belt. We could then set a schedule of weekends/weeknights/whatever with a "sign up sheet" and provide a rotating staff of us(the grunts) to work under their direction. This would allow all our assistance to Joel in moving the project forward at his pace to finally complete his fathers dream.
Jack will get back to either Tom or I in mid January, and we can then formulate a plan that is workable to all concerned.
I will post a new thread in January,2003 with an update, so keep this project and family in your thoughts through the Holiday season, and then volunteer to work when the schedules permit.
In this, we all win.
