For those going down I 35 from the Dallas / Ft Worth you can now pick up the toll road just north Georgetown and go almost all the way to San Marcos for just a couple of bucks; you don’t even need a toll tag they will send you a bill. Going this way you will miss going through Georgetown, Round Rock and Austin well worth the money. It is longer but much / much quicker.

Rooooooms
To All,
The hotel has been instructed to monitor and continues to add more rooms to our block as reservations are made.
This is being done as timely as they are able............there is a short lag time as rooms are added to the block.
Please be patient with the hotel...............they are completely overwhelmed at the response and speed at which the rooms are being booked. SO AM I!!!!
This meet has the potential to be the largest event we have had to date.
Don't give up on making reservations if rooms are booked faster than they can refill the block................wait 30 min to an hour and try again.
You should be accomodated shortly!!!!!!!!!
Thanks to all,
Dee Walters

Steve,
I know the other day Dee told me we where at 47 rooms. So we are well past half way of what the contract calls. Like Dee said be patient and the rooms will becoming available. This should be a great time.

Odd request
Who ever the T-shirt vendor is, please use the same process used two years ago (2007). Those shirts were, and still are, GREAT! Last years applications have already fallen off and used for rags. Also, the 2007 art work was super......fun. I always get complements when wearing.

All booked and ready for this year. We will have a large showing of Backdrafts this year. I also plan on setting up a display as well. I think Keith Craft may bring some motors to set up as well in my display for viewing.
Hope to see you all there soon...

Registration Reminder
If you are planning on attending the Spring Meet in San Marcos, please go ahead and register at www.texascobrameet.com We have about 60 cars registered so far and the site has only been up 2 weeks.
You can pay when you arrive onsite but there is a link to pay the registration fee online. Getting your information to us early allows us to plan more efficiently and have your registration packet waiting for you when you arrive at the meet. It only take about 2 minute to fill out the online form.
Thanks for all of you that have already registered. Once a week I will send out an update to those who recently registered.

We have approx 65 cars registered online. Some people have made their hotel reservations but have not registered for the meet. That's OK but please register online at www.texascobrameet.com
I think we have about 90 different people with hotel rooms.
We still want anyone who is planning on attending to register online as soon as possible. This will allow us to get a headcount for the tailgate parties, have name tags made before you get to San Marcos, make signing-in faster and allow us to arrange the parking lot more efficiently.
With all of the buzz, I imagine we will over 135 cars this year. In 2008 we had about 100 cars.
