Default Tms 11/21

Don,
On your website it shows "Intro to Road Racing" on 11/21. What does that consist of and what's the cost? I'd still like to try and find time to come up, drive the track with my car and get instruction while I'm there.

mt, All the info on the Intro to Road Racing is on our website www.texasdrivingexperience.com. These are the highlights: The Intro program is a full day program limited to 12 people total. We start the day in our cars doing braking drills, slalom, skid pad work. Then we feed you lunch and do a vehicle dynamics class during lunch. At 1:00 PM we do our van around on Infield Road Course (1 Mile). Then we do one lead and follow 30 minute session on the infield road course. Give feedback to everyone and then do another open track session for 30 minutes. Controlled point by passing allowed. We work very closely with everyone to optimize tire pressures for the maximum handling of the car. $550 for entire day with lunch, suits, helmets, water, snacks, etc. Our very best program for a novice, highly recommend.

Wiley, No problem we can handle all three of you guys driving one car, you would pay for four sessions without instruction $150 or with instruction $250. db

Have the money, was going to bring the slow Mustang, but I have to order a new clutch. It started sticking on me this week when I do anything other than a granny shift. I don't think I will be back on the road by the 11th. I will just have to save my pennies for one of your regular classes. I think I may try to swing it as my B-Day present to myself next year.

I sent an email Don. In addition to the questions in the email, I have one more. Since I have never done anything like this and don't have any driving certifications, my only option is to sign up for the Intro Class for $550. Is that right?

Thanks, Joe - -

Stoney, We have opened this Track Day to new people with no experience, you can sign up for HP1 or HP2. I would recommend HP2 so you will receive instruction. There will be an instructor that will work with you in a very small group to receive individual coaching. The instructor will follow your progress all day and between sessions point out any areas that need to be worked on and answer any questions you may have.

A Huge Thank You goes out to Dawn, DB, Jim Woodard, all of the driving instructors, the corner workers, the concession girls, and every single one of the drivers in attendance today at Texas Driving Experience.

All I can say is, "what an experience it is driving on the Roval."

It was a "little" damp going and coming, and also for the first session, but man oh man the day was unbeatable... period.

Thanks to the great staff at Texas Driving Experience for putting on a super day of tracking on one hell of a fast track! Here are some pictures of the Cobras in action.

Guys, Thanks for coming out, everyone had a great time and everyone drove cars home with a little less rubber and smile that you cannot wash off. See you at the next event. db

Default Some more plus a YouTube

Shelton headed to beat the crap out of Reyburn for rubbing him

Later, Reyburn gives Shelton a ride down the front straight at speed

Jay, thinking about how much extra room he has in his garage:

And SSSammy and the aforementioned Grand Sport pretending to race .. I just can't describe how much fun this was

Wrong thread Larry........

Way to go Sam. Nice driving techniques. I think you need to move to the next level. No more tracking. Wheel to wheel!!! Can I help you find a race car???

Gary, nice video. The sound of the cars flying by is great. How did you do this time? Do tell.

Typical Shelton..... you can see him holding the video camera in the photo with Larry's coupe.

Wish I could have made it. But with a race last weekend and again next weekend, I just couldn't swing the expenses or get the car ready in time. After talking with Shelton, it sounds like a great time. It's going to be tough to keep him away from the track now.....

Default Run 'N Gun!

Richard, the next event is RnG Oct 7-10 at Gateway International Raceway near St. Louis ... I am sure there is room for one or two more Cobras!

I am going up Tuesday Oct 6th ... you can follow me as usual, but this time you may want to remove the drain plugs in the footboxes An overabundance of fun is a certainty!
