I'm not from Tassie... But, about 1.5hrs drive away is Cradle Mountain.
Its lovely and the roads take you through some beautiful parts of Tassie.
Think targa Tassie country. Last time we went we rode our bicycles through the area and loved it.
Two options are:
Cradle mountain lodge
Cradle mountain chateau
Enjoy

I agree, (except the "my Wife cried when i sold mine" bit), I still have mine, and think its great, even after 6 years.

Hi again
For work we usually stay at the Grand Chancellor in Launie. Central and consistently good.
Nothing too exciting. There are nice wineries up the west side of the Tamar.
I have not stayed there but Seaport has some nice restaurants too - so staying there would be ok. The Casino is ok if you like a flutter.
Cradle Mountain Lodge is a great spot, especially in winter. A little bit out of town though, almost need a stop half way by Tassie standards!! Great roads up there though - and very few po-po

Hi Dean - 53 usable liters of LPG, never been game to run it low, always keep it topped up. I have the fuel injection system for the car, but never felt the need to change it from LPG, plenty quick enough for me LOL

Still for the money not too bad.
I'm still looking for a cobra, prefer auto, something that can be registered in SA with not too much hassle.
If you have something you think might suit let me know. I have the cash for the right car.

The other thing was both doors when shut they still at least a quarter of inch movement almost like a door rubber was missing to take up the movement...i might be seen as comming across as a fussy bugga but A 50g starting point is a lot of money for some of us and i need to get the most for my money,,

Hi Deano, how about the DRB for sale on Just Cars for 40k in Hoddle Creek Vic. Appears emissions should be fine with its set up, and conversion to auto you'd be under $50k, including flights, accomo etc to look at it, and then cruise the Great Ocean Rd home!!!
