Vector,
Somewhere between .002-.0025" on the rods....a little higher on the larger main journals like this one has. The mains on this one came in at around .0026-.0027.
Piston/wall clearances were at .006" per Diamond's spec.
Rod side clearance was between .020-.022".

It's all slowly coming together...
Dyno day is post poned until the 29th, so we'll have to wait until next week to see the results.
All I have left to do now is to put the plugs in, cut the plug wires to length and terminate them, and put some baffles in the valve covers.
This engine has been one to test my patience....but that's why they call it engine "building" instead of just engine "assembling". Don't ever expect a part to fit right out of the box...

Brent, are those 4 machined alignment dowels for setting the timing cover and WP? That's pretty slick!

If you tripped and fell into one of the ports on those heads, we might not ever find you in there. Might have to send in a search crew...

That's one beautiful engine.
Here's my input. Black spark plug wires.
Amazing too. The engine build only took 3 pages from start to finish.

Looks great! Heck, we spent more pages talking about Pat's donor cam than it took you to build this engine.

Really Brent that looks outstanding! Make sure you get good audio when you dyno it! After listening to CSX2290 (which sounds quite nasty BTW ) a few minutes ago I'm ready for some killer BB sounds.

Well, dyno day came and went.
We got to the dyno shop at 9AM, had the thing on the stand by about 9:30 and at 9:35 we found out that the headers that I borrowed from Jon Kaase hit the dyno stand.
So after a gazillion phone calls to some other local dyno operators, we couldn't find anyone with a open slot.
Now, I'll have to wait until NEXT Friday and we're going to put it on the pump up at Performance Engineering.
I need patience.
