I think I should be #1, since I don't end my sentences with improper prepositions.

We dispensed with "prescriptive grammar" quite some time ago, so you're still #2. But, being the stickler buff that you are, you might enjoy Winston Churchill's take on the issue: http://www.wsu.edu/~brians/errors/churchill.html

Hey, what can I say, I'm a purist, er, an "originalist", unless someone wants to "refudiate" me.
Rodney, let me save you the trouble. The status of the wheels is the same status as before the holidays.....a pipe dream. But, I'm still "in", if the wheels ever get "turned out."

"...where we're at..." is urban usage as a noun "equivalent", something like a pronoun phrase.
The common phrase, MF, we know, doesn't actually describe a precise activity or act. It is a very perjorative and potentially insulting adjective or a noun, depending on usage. In modern Americano, i might never have had relationships with a mother and yet remain a blazing MF.
Where we're at, can be a place, like Philadelphia, or even a description of a status or condition, as in, "that's where we're at" in describing our relationships.
The phrase, "where's you at", for instance, does not only ask your location. It might ask your attitude, decision or condition.
But, given a few sets of Hali's this spring and i might get over my affection for all this usage vs rules stuff.
New Hali's to me mean safety and the correct look. Setting the bead on old mags seems to be just a gamble. That's why the new tire machines set the bead from the drop centers inside a steel cover. Years ago used wheels were 50USD., so we really had perhaps two dozen with various tires. Today, two new sets, dry and wet are enough for historic events and street.
By the way, rain race tires make great street tires, dot or not... Good for perhaps 5000 street miles or so and great in the rain.
