Patrickt, you are achieving a new low on this thread, as this is the first time I have ever seen any member on any car forum single-handedly try to kill a group purchase. You are evil, dude, simply evil, and I hope that Rodney and the rest are hugely successful with this process. I don't need to have a dog in this show to at least wish them success on something that a lot of parties have shown interest in (and probably many that don't post on CC). The coatings (Richard even called it pickling once) has apparently changed over the years. I don't know the details but he isn't using the old stuff, for whatever reason. I'm speculating here but old processes could possibly be banned, not available or simply not be the best solution anymore. Or maybe he likes torturing us? 
So far there has only been mention of gold and 'none' (special request) for colors. Any other color requests or should I publish a Pantone list?
WARNING - Special Requests of any type may have an impact on lead times and costs. Plus Shipping and Handling. Local taxes may apply. Batteries not included (that one was for patrickt's LED brakelights).

IMO, inanimate objects only develop character through use and time. They had nothing to do with their own design but they were there every step of the way for it's journey. And sometimes it shows in just the right ways.
