Don't make generalized empirical statements. You obviously never heard a 718HP 427 SB or a 358 680HP SB. Blindfolded, you can't tell the difference among them and an FE, stroked or not.
Sound has little to do with bore size. Other sound experts above not withstanding.
All the statements on this thread are generalized seems to me. So why am I not allowed?

I suppose there are SB 427s out there built up to such a degree the sound is so close to a BB many may think it is. They are the exception. In GENERAL BB sound different than SB 427s. At least to me.
