I just made sure to wipe the hoses down with Goof Off to remove any existing labeling on the hoses and had absolutely no problems getting through the BAR Referee at Golden West College in Huntington Beach. All the referee wanted to see was that I had a closed loop system in place with the PCV valve in the valve cover connected to vacuum on the carb (used fuel line for that one) and a closed breather cap on the other valve cover with a heater hose connection to the base of my open air cleaner. Again, I have done this successfully with both my Superformance Cobra and a 1932 deuce highboy. Guess what happened to that heater hose connection to the breather cap about two seconds after I got home from the Referee? "Gone like a '59 Cadillac"!!

Glad I saw this. I think I have all the parts I need to get this done. I have the valve cover grommet, PCV valve, and an "EPA" hose to go to my carb. For the other side, I bought another grommet, a breather cap with a 5/8" fitting, and another fitting I'll install on a cheap air cleaner base. Problem is that I couldn't find the proper hose in 5/8" size anywhere (several local parts stores, Jegs, Summit). If anyone knows where to find this hose, it'd be great. Otherwise, I'm going to use the Goof Off/Heater hose approach.
