Once the car is sold, it is no longer a one owner car, so that argument goes out the window. Same goes for originality in regards to your car. The high ticket BOSS 9 cars have all of the original parts installed. yes, to replace those parts and undo your customization is expensive. Since your car holds no current or past race records, that argument also gets thrown out as you are now comparing apples to grapefruits. Again, no offense, but you really cannot compare your car to a know famously owned car, or a car that is restored to 100% original. There is a reason why several BOSS 9's have sold recently (as late as last week in Delaware) and your car sits stagnant on the market. Again, your car is a stunning automobile, but there is not enough of a draw to it "as currently presented". . Steve was at last years show, as well as this years, we (he and I) and others have all discussed your car at length.....I'll leave it at that.

Except on the "Concours" issue as mark IV hits the nail on the head.A concourse is found at a mall or airport or other large public area and the term is constantly misused when describing a "Concours" restoration or something shown at a "Concours d' Elegance" event.

As far as pricing goes,there are few if any 1 owner Boss 429's and there were only 93 Raven Black ones that were built out of a total run in 1969 of 859 cars.

Even at my asking price of 265000,if one wanted to return it to "Concours " and have a trailer queen the total investement would still be in the market area.
Now if one wanted to purchase the car without the original parts that I would include I would price it at 250000 .By the way if you look at stock Boss parts prices are quite high.Just ask Steve Strange
I suspect that the original owners of modified Cobras that race them might see my point,that is to say performance and safety mods are reversible if that's what you want in a car.
One thing for sure is that they aren't making them anymore so values can still climb.IMHO
But, I didn't post here to argue numbers I came looking for a buyer.If one comes of it I will then have a Cobra to talk about.
But it won't be original and it won't be built to 60's specs.
It will be fast,safe as posible,and damn good looking.
I would however miss the Boss as there is never an instance of it drawing crowds whenever I take it out to a show or just for a cruise.You might ask why that is and I submit to you that unless you go to a Concours event you rarely see one in public
