A lost art: Old fashion craftsmanship

Since 1996 Alloycars coachbuilders of Fort Lauderdale, Florida are known for building high-end recreations of historic race cars. The team has combined the master crafsmanship of German handmade all-alloy body construction and high-tech CAD re-engineering of historic race icons.

The results are stunning re-constructions of historic automobiles like the Porsche 550 Spyder and the Mercedes 300SLR Silver Arrow. Based on original factory drawings and plans, including all original works handbooks and 3-D scans of original cars, Alloycars offers the unique opportunity to own a piece of automotive history.

Privately owned and operated, founded in 1996 by Ingo Poth, the AlloyCars team of eight
automotive master craftsmen continue the re-creation of priceless works of automotive
history. Working from our plant situated in Ft Lauderdale, Florida, AlloyCars are purveyors of
precision built opulence dedicated to all men (and women) who embrace speed and luxury.

Melding German automotive mastery with impeccable American craftsmanship; each
AlloyCar product is a commissioned vehicle. Perspective owners claim the AlloyCars
automobile are indistinguishable from the original car. The company carries on a historical
tradition reminiscent of European craftsmanship.

AlloyCars also offers the unique opportunity to re-create cars and parts of automotive
history. If you have a historic vehicle with priceless parts missing, we are the only
company who accept the challenge to re-create anything independent how much is left
from the original car. Sometimes we have a photo documentation only to work with.

Boasting unparalleled workmanship AlloyCars vehicles are crafted from hand forged, high
performance, alloy aluminum. Design is based on original factory drawings and plans,
handbooks and blueprints decoded and 3-D scans resulting in stunning reconstructions of
the world’s most iconic, road ready race cars.

So Dan, how about taking a ride over to Alloycars and meeting with the team. Give us an overview. You're only 2 hours away.

Well,

Another stolen picture being used by the fine folks at Alloycars, just so happens to be owned by a good friend from FFcars, Greg_M, he is pissed that the company swiped his picture and is portraying his car as one they built.

And for when they change it, I've attached both pictures to this post.

That cried out Greg, I knew it is his car and asked "Tom" about it and got the usual flimsy answer.

Steve,

You lost that bet, notice the changed picture, told you so, as Tom was way too predictable. Only thing missing now is the "we don't know what you are talking about" denial from him. I'll expect paypal before the end of the weekend.
